H-1B VISA

The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows U.S.-based employers to hire foreign professionals in specialty occupations requiring advanced skills and qualifications, such as IT, engineering, finance, and healthcare.

The visa allows an initial stay of three years, which may be extended to a maximum of six years. After this period, the visa holder must either leave the United States or reapply.

A person in H-1B status must remain employed by their sponsoring employer to maintain their visa status. If employment ends, the individual must either leave the United States, seek a change of status, or obtain a new H-1B sponsorship.

Why Apply for H1B Visa?

  • Career Advancement: Work with leading companies in the U.S., gaining global exposure and expertise.
  • Family Inclusion: Your spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 can accompany you to the U.S. on H-4 dependent visas. They may live, study, and, in some cases, work in the U.S.
  • Pathway to Green Card: The H-1B visa often serves as a stepping stone toward obtaining permanent residency in the U.S.
  • Competitive Compensation: Earn salaries aligned with U.S. industry standards.
  • Visa Validity: The H-1B visa is typically issued for an initial period of three years, with the possibility of extending it up to a maximum of six years.
  • Change of Employment: You can change employers, but your new employer must file a new H-1B petition on your behalf. You can start working for the new employer once the petition is filed.

To qualify for an H-1B visa, you must:

  • Have a job offer from a U.S.-based employer.
